Burscough Bridge Methodist Primary School

Hello and welcome to the website of Burscough Bridge Methodist School.

We may only be a small school but we have plenty of enthusiasm and commitment to caring & learning together. All member of Staff work closely as a team to give our pupils the best possible start in life and our results over the past three years show that this has been successful - the difference between what the individual can do when she/he come into school and at the end of their Primary years has been in the top 5% of similar school.

We were described by Ofsted in 2005 as a school where pupils make good progress -

" The school is right to judge pupils' personal development and well-being to be good. Pupils enjoy coming to school, like their teachers and they are well motivated to learn. As a result, they have and maintain a positive outlook. Behaviour is good…..Pupils are clear about what is right and wrong….. Throughout the school, lessons and other activities provide pupils with experiences that prepare them for life outside the school".

In our school we place great emphasis on respect for ourselves and for others - in all aspects of life. That way we can have fun, celebrate whatever we do well and enjoy extra-curricular activities safely - such as French, sport e.g. football, netball, rounders and trips to places such as Hothersall Lodge Activity Centre and the Pantomime.
